Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy was born the 16th of April, 1996 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father, an Argentinan of Scottish and English descent is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish and English origin. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. The family lived in Buenos Aires until she was 6 years old. They then relocated to Victoria neighborhood of London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move to London was traumatic and that she was unable to learn English in order to prevent returning to Argentina. She was forced to transfer schools between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she took ballet classes and appeared in school productions. At 16, she left the school to make a career out of acting. Since her early years, Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to be an actor and her dream came true when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
